The 2nd International Carl Bechstein Piano Competition from February 26th to March 8th, 2010 invites you for participation with especially attractive conditions and awards. The Repertoire offers great possibilities for the participants to show a broad musical spectrum of his or her personality. It contains all categories - starting from the classical sonata, romantic literature up to contemporary compositions as well as chamber music options. More under competition

This Competition will be judged by a renowned international jury of nine members. There will be representatives of many countries with a strong tradition of piano playing, among these not only pianists but also chamber musicians. All members have rich experience in active concertizing as well as in promoting musical talents. More under Organisation

Awards and prizes of 50.000 € in total, including concert engagements in renowned Concert halls as well as a CD production will be offered to the winners. Special awards will be published later. See more under Awards

This competition not only offers a choice of piano chamber music but also Vocal Chamber Music in the 3 rd Round. First class musicians and orchestras will perform together with the participants. The International Carl Bechstein Piano Competition has been able to win the strings of the renowned Fauré Piano Quartet for the piano chamber music category.
